About the role

Freight Forwarding Manager will work in coordination with Operations and Supply/ Fleet divisions on development plans and applying business partnerships with external clients/vendors.

This role can be summarized as the ideas, initiatives, and activities aimed towards making our Operations better through contributing to the strategic logistical offering of the company.

The key roles and responsibilities will include:

• Build procurement development and business intelligence data base
• Identify potential partnership opportunities in strict compliance with internal management procedures/guidelines
• Weekly business development / intelligence reporting
• Spearhead our new business activities in addition to dedicated trucking transportation services, to include customs clearance, fleet rental deals, freight brokerage, and freight forwarding
• Help the company reach its goal to lead the Egyptian logistics market by identifying and winning large deals and building strategic alliances
• Build a portfolio of 3rd party vendors to serve the objective of diversifying our vendors’ sources to immediately serve our planned and on-demand needs
• Driving new business opportunities through:
  1. Identifying, negotiating and closing new supply opportunities
  2. Monitoring tender opportunities
  3. Proactively creating opportunities to access available supply sources
  4. Co-developing winning bids with business Commercial team, clients and partners
  5. Researching and building relationships with new vendors
  6. Coordinating and supporting communication plans for enhanced visibility and influence with targeted audiences internally and externally
  7. Reviewing win and loss notifications to identify themes and trends to understand existing client needs
• There are many strict rules and regulations to observe at different borders, so one of the major tasks would be creating awareness of the rules, regulations and policies associated with different borders
• Sign successful partnership agreements with reliable suppliers to arrange for all the necessary preparations to prevent delays and reduce the time and stress involved with shipping freight across borders
• Help with all the documentation steps and processes involved in cross border shipping to deliver a surpassed customer service

Requirements and Qualifications:

• Bachelor degree is a must
• +5 year in similar position in the field of (Logistics – Trucking – Shipping lines)
• Exceptional time management, verbal and written communication & negotiation skills
• Advanced planning and result orientation skills.
• Advanced problem solving & decision making skills.
• Advanced Computer Skills (MS Office)
• Well organized & can Perform multi tasks
• Good Command of English
• Professional manner, presentable, punctual and strong ethical code
